If there is something Second Life Residents won’t be lacking anytime soon, it is Fashion Blogs on the net! I searched Second Life Fashion Blogs on the google search page, and found that there were over 80million results. Maybe not all of them relevant to the search but still…there ARE many fashion Blogs out there!

Second Life Fashion Blogs: Too Many?

One thing I have noticed with the majority however, are that they mainly contain female content. Why is that? Do guys in Second Life not bother with appearance and style in SL? Yeah they do! I know plenty of men who shop all day, and have fits if their appearance isn’t correct one morning! I must admit, I am the same sometimes. I like to dress how I feel!

But anyway, back to the point of this, Too many Fashion Blogs? Just a simple search brings you ‘Second Style’, Fashion Feed’ and many many more, basically all showing the same stuff! I think the Fashion Blogs should change a little, and be unique. Like…for example, a blog on Drag Queen fashion…or…get men modelling female dresses. Really, just for the fun side, and not the serious side of it. Who knows, may even get some readers!

It is interesting how Fashion has in a way, Taken over Second Life, and has become such a huge industry in this virtual world. Will it ever die out, or will it just increase and grow even more over the years? Who knows, but can guarantee another new Fashion Blog dedicated to SL fashion will be set up in another month or so!

Fashion = fascism. I see you in your Sunday casuals, very nice.

The most innovative stuff in SL is in fashion, or I prefer style. The prims, sculpties, textures, skin seem to show almost daily innovation. There are some real artists out there. I used to run with the dogs, but graphics is not my RL career. When you add in lighting, shadows, photography, “fashion” has propelled SL into art. It really takes that concept of “avatar as literacy” to another level.

I think there are a lot of shoddy blogs on the feeds with too much of emphasis on playing nice, nice. The majority feel as though you shouldn’t say bad things at all about designs – just wear it and be happy. Which is probably why no one reads my blog, ha!
